Here We Are

I'm here. My first blog post, and I'm a bit late to the party, but I've finally launched this project. The idea has been taking up space in my head for a long time. First, I built this site with a few specific goals in mind.

I'm aware that blog culture is pretty much dead now. Sites like Medium and LinkedIn were already more than enough to meet that need. And honestly, with AI's rapid rise, even those platforms don't matter much anymore. Nobody really enjoys reading that much (myself included). I have no idea who will read my posts now. But that's okay, because I'm doing this as a hobby.

Personal websites were a 2000s trend, but I still love the idea. When designing the site, I drew heavily from old personal websites. There are people out there who make these things much more unique—from design to content. You can find plenty of them on Neocities if you're curious. I took inspiration from Apple's philosophy in my design—it should be pretty obvious. In this regard, my biggest inspiration came from marco.fyi.

Since I've given credit where it's due, let me talk about my goals.

My Goals

My biggest goal is to use this as a CV. With that in mind, I've been thinking about integrating an AI chatbot tailored to my personal information. Of course, there are some technical limitations and I'm not entirely sure about paying for API costs.

My second goal is to improve my English. None of the blog posts here will be written by AI. I'll write the English texts myself. I'm planning to dedicate most of this to technical topics.

My third goal is to track my own development process. I currently work as a DBA (Database Administrator) at a company. Most of the posts here will consist of my technical knowledge.

My final goal is to build and publish a real website with Claude Code and actually launch it. I want to understand the changing coding culture of the past few years a bit better. I need to make sure those $24 I spent are worth it! (Joking aside, it's a serious investment.)

Conclusion

Sharing the site with people around me will be pretty exciting, and this digital footprint I'm leaving on the internet is personally very meaningful. Plus, I'm graduating very soon, and this is my graduation gift to myself.
